This mod is still being worked on so you don’t have access to it yet and it’s unclear when players will be able to get their hands on it. While we don’t see actual footage of anything happening, we do see a screenshot with two Link models and another screenshot with the second player being restricted from getting on the first player’s horse. The screenshots were later confirmed as real by a member of the CEMU subreddit’s mod team. In a Reddit post by user 30XX, we saw a couple screenshots that show local co-op as a possibility in Breath of the Wild.
HOW TO PLAY BREATH OF THE WILD EMULATOR MODS
On top of the potential of increased performance from the Switch and Wii U, you can also take advantage of fan-made mods if you’re going the emulation route. While there is still work to be done, the game was in a much more playable state in May and that only gets better with time. The last time we took a look at Breath of the Wild’s PC performance, we came away impressed. Keep in mind that emulating a game is not the same as running a game natively, which is why you’ll need a PC that is much stronger than a Wii U. In order to play, you will need to have a rather beefy PC and run CEMU, a Wii U emulator. Work has been done on an emulated version of Breath of the Wild on PC for quite some time now. If playing on a Wii U or a Switch are not options for you, you can always turn to PC emulation to fulfill your needs. Part of the game’s hype builds on the fact that it’s still hard to find a Nintendo Switch and not many people bought a Wii U – the two consoles the game is available on. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been one of most popular games of the year and that trend is still going.
